Today is a big day. I was 1 week old at 12:19. I was trying to sleep, but Dad had out the video camera and Grandma got me up so they could sing happy birthday to me.
Time is flying by. I spent the first four days of my life at California Pacific Medical Center. They took such great care of me, mom and dad, that I was a little shocked and disappointed when they put me in a car seat and drove me to a new place.
We got to ride home along the Pacific Ocean on a beautiful day. It was about 70 degrees and sunny.
We've been here for three days and I am getting used to it. Lots of people have been coming by to meet me, I feel very popular. We watched something called football on Sunday. My dad was very excited and I said that I brought the Steerler's a victory. Not sure what that means, but I made the old guy happy.
Today is a quiet day and mom said she is happy to stay in her pajama's and just take care of me today.
I went to the pediatrician yesterday and since Friday night I've gained 9 ounces and grew an inch. I am not quite up to my birthday weight, but Dr. Tucker said I could eat when I want, instead of being on a schedule. Mom thought I might go 4 hours between feedings at night but I decided 2 or 3 hours was enough last night.
So far things are going well here. I met these two dogs that don't seem that interested in me. I had my first bath at home.
My mom rocked me in a swing outside today and I feel asleep in the sun. At night I sleep in mom and dad's room and mom gets up when I do to feed me. Dad does too - he changes my diapers, burps me and sometimes puts me back to sleep. So far these peeps are solid.
Grandpa was here until this morning. He really liked holding me and kept me really warm with lots of blankets. I think he was afraid I would catch a cold. We were all sad to see him leave this morning, especially my mom.
Grandma is still here and has been cooking, cleaning and taking care of my mom. She is awesome.
From what I hear, I have more grandparents and I will meet them this weekend. How lucky am I? I can't wait. I hear their voices over this thing that people keep talking into, but I can't wait to meet them in person. I hear they are really cool.
That's all for now, I feel a nap coming on....
