Youngest Hockey Fan
Last night was so cool - my first hockey game! Dad plays on a team called the San Francisco Earthquakes. He is awesome - Mom says he is the best on the team and I agree. I've watched enough of the Pittsburgh Penguins to know a thing or two about hockey. He had some great passes last night, an amazing attempt on goal and he is a great skater. His team mates were so happy to meet me - the last time we met I was in Mommy's tummy! I was officially the youngest hockey fan at the game and even though I stayed up past my bedtime and those guys smelled so bad at the end, it was so worth it!

Please Don't Yell
Last night Dad and I were watching hockey. He got so excited that the Penguins scored a goal that he screamed. It scared me a little so I cried and gave him my best pout. He apologized profusely. I got him wrapped around my chubby little finger already....

What do I Look Like?

Safety Nazi
I had to share this picture with you so you could all see just how funny my Daddy is.
See my mom always get on him about being really safe with me. Like every time she puts me in the swing she has to buckle me in, even though I can't go anywhere. I think it might bug Dad a little, but if it does he doesn't really let on.
Yesterday Dad left me safely on the couch and Mom the worry wart yelled at him. Once she left the room Dad said, "Let's mess with Mommy." By the time she returned Dad had erected a safety barrier out of couch cushions and my swing on the coffee table.
Luckily Mom has a good sense of humor too!

Napa Style
On Saturday Bryce invited me to join him wine tasting in Napa Valley. He has a membership at Jessup Cellars and Hall Rutherford Winery and he planned a wonderful day tasting followed by a nice dinner at Don Giovanni's. It was such a great date - he really pulled out all the punches! Maybe he was picking up on the fact that I was feeling unsure about our future together. Well, he really impressed me and showed me that he wants to keep things going. I really enjoyed Jessup Cellars because the wine isn't as oaky as most California varietals. The picture above is one of the caves at Hall which leads to the tasting room.
Here we are getting ready to taste three of their most exclusive wines. As is usual when taste wines all day, we did have to call it a night early - as you can see, Bryce had a little too much....
Maybe we do have a future together. His grandma is visiting this week, so I'll have to be patient, but I have a feeling another date is in our future.

All Dressed Up and Somplace to Go
Today Mom is taking me to the school that she used to work at to visit her friends and students. She is very excited and has me dressed up in my favorite pink ruffle dress. I am so dressed up that even my tush has ruffles!

Boys
There have been some developments in my love life that I thought I should share with you. As you know, I have been spending a lot of time with Bryce Mckee. I really, really like him - he is handsome, kind, funny and really easy to get along with. The problem is that I am just not sure where it is going. I don't want a ring or anything like that, but I am just not sure if we'll ever get to the next level. He is such a gentleman, but I am ready to stir things up a little bit. I mean, every time we get together he brings his mom! What is up with that!
This is further complicated by the fact that a real cutie lives next door. Sloan is quite a bit older at 19 months, but boys are often less mature than girls, right?. Anyway, he's been coming by the see our dog Penelope, or at least that is what he says. I am definitely getting a vibe that he might be into me. Not sure if it is the way he looks at me or the butterflies I got when he was kissing my feet.
Anyway, just wanting to get this off my chest. I think I am just going to keep my options open, not get to serious with anyone. Just see what happens....

Week with the Wises
I got to meet some more family this week! My Great Aunt Nancy, Great Uncle David and Cousin Conner came to San Francisco on their Spring Break. Aunt Nancy is a teacher and Conner is in high school so I am sure glad they planned their trip and were able to see me on their time off. We had lots of fun and of course watched the Penguins a lot. They are fans just like my Dad and in fact, I wore my Penguins onsies that Aunt Nancy sent me.
Aunt Nancy really liked holding me and so did Uncle David, who likes the football hold, one of my preferred positions. Even Cousin Conner held me a lot - I fell asleep in his arms. I hope I get to see them again soon and meet my other cousin's Ryan, Bethany and Brett.

Life with Dad
I am missing my Dad. He is in Washington, DC until Saturday night. We've become drinking buddies over the last few weeks. I have been on a pale ale kick with him lately. We tend to like darker microbrews but pale ales are a great spring beer. Like my mom I really enjoy a good vodka martini, but it is good bonding time with dad, so I just nod my head when he talks about the great “hoppiness” of the beer. Not sure what bouncing has to do with beer, but I just go with it.
I also wanted to point out that since I gave the Pittsburgh Penguins “mojo” last week they have not lost a game. They have won 7 straight and are now in the playoff race! My Uncle Benny, Aunt Sara and Grandad were at the Blackhawks game in the 3rd row on Saturday. My dad and I watched the whole game to try and see them. It was a lot of fun and the Pens of course won in OT. Grandad said it was the game that turned the season around. Was it the game that turned the season around or my “mojo”? I may have to use these amazing talents of mine for something other than sports!

Watcha Talkin' Bout Willis?
Can you believe I am 2 months old already! I gotta tell you, don't feel a day over 6 weeks. Time is flying by.
To celebrate my birthday last Friday, Mom and I went to Mommy and Baby Yoga at the Yoga Tree in the Mission. Mom did a lot of pre-natal yoga so I am pretty familiar with the whole scene.
Here I am all zenned out at the end of class.
To complete my birthday celebration, Mom and Dad took me out for Thai Food and we had a nice weekend spending lots of time in the sun.
This morning I had the great fortune to meet my Great Aunt Nancy, Great Uncle David and Second Cousin Conner who are here in San Francisco on Spring Break. They are pretty cool and I even fell asleep in Conner's arms this morning. We'll be seeing them a bunch this week so I'll post pictures once Dad gets his act together and takes a few.

All Dressed Up and No Where to Go
Do you like my dress? Mom figured I should at least try it on once before I outgrow it! I think I still have a few more weeks but we don't go out fancy too much.
Mom says that dressing up sometimes helps you feel better when you are sad. We have good reason to be sad today. Grandma went back to NY today. I am starting to understand that the people we love most are the ones that can't stay. I hope it isn't always like that, maybe we will be closer one day. Well, it was a great visit. We went out for lunches and shopping and just enjoyed spending time together. I can't wait until Grandma comes back and I hope that Grandpa comes too next time. And don't even get me started, I can't wait to see Mimi and Grandad, I hope they come back soon too.
I gotta go, its Tummy Time....

What are you doing to me?
Today was my two month visit to the pediatrician. I love Dr. Tucker - she is really nice and patient with my Mom who asks lots of questions. Grandma got to come today too! She told Dr. Tucker that Mom ate solids after two weeks - gosh, things have changed!
I am still in the 75% and now weigh 11 pounds, 10 ounces and I am 23 inches long. Dr. Tucker told mom that since I am not eating much at night I am weening myself off my night feedings. She said that Mom could try to get me back to sleep without feeding me at 1:30, when I normally eat very little. I am a little upset that Dr. Tucker is exposing my scam, but I guess it had to happen eventually.
The bad news is that I got vaccinations today. Ouch! I let out a huge scream, but truthfully it wasn't as bad as I would have expected. I settled down once Mom started to feed me. Now we are home and I am trying to get some rest, but Mom keeps taking pictures of me which makes that kind of hard.

Grandma in da House
Grandma finally arrived on Thursday! It has been so great having her here. On Thursday morning Mom was so excited she cleaned the house up and down, couldn't sit still. We picked her up from the airport and had a great afternoon hanging out at the house.
Friday we spent some time at home in the morning - Mom went for a run and Grandma and I stayed at home. For lunch we went to The Slanted Door at the Ferry Building and then ran over the City Hall to get my Birth Certificate.
Friday night was the best - Allison and Bryce came over and so did our neighbor Stephanie. Mom made salad and pasta and we had some champagne! Grandma gave me a bottle so mommy could enjoy the champagne. It was a great girls night (hope Bryce didn't mind!!).
One of the highlights on the last few days has been Skyping with Dad. He has been one for so long and I miss him so much! We talked to him everyday and he kept saying how much he missed me! He was at his Aunt and Uncle's house in Connecticut for the last two nights so I got to meet them on Skype too! They are really cool and I can't wait to meet them in person in April when we go to NY. Anyway, we are having a lazy morning today, just anxiously awaiting Dad's return home. Mom is making him a special dinner, but I think he might be too excited to see me to eat!
