Grandma in da House

Grandma finally arrived on Thursday! It has been so great having her here. On Thursday morning Mom was so excited she cleaned the house up and down, couldn't sit still. We picked her up from the airport and had a great afternoon hanging out at the house.

Friday we spent some time at home in the morning - Mom went for a run and Grandma and I stayed at home. For lunch we went to The Slanted Door at the Ferry Building and then ran over the City Hall to get my Birth Certificate.

Friday night was the best - Allison and Bryce came over and so did our neighbor Stephanie. Mom made salad and pasta and we had some champagne! Grandma gave me a bottle so mommy could enjoy the champagne. It was a great girls night (hope Bryce didn't mind!!).

Saturday we had another busy day - Mom got her nails done in the morning - she is really taking advantage of Grandma, huh! Then we met one of Mom's oldest friends for lunch. Michelle and Mom grew up together and Michelle now lives in Seattle. She was in town visiting another friend who also joined us for lunch. We went to Bar Jules in Hayes Valley - it was great! Then we took a long walk to Dolores Park for Mom's favorite ice cream at the Bi-Rite Creamery. By the time we got home we were wiped out, so we had a quite night at home.

One of the highlights on the last few days has been Skyping with Dad. He has been one for so long and I miss him so much! We talked to him everyday and he kept saying how much he missed me! He was at his Aunt and Uncle's house in Connecticut for the last two nights so I got to meet them on Skype too! They are really cool and I can't wait to meet them in person in April when we go to NY. Anyway, we are having a lazy morning today, just anxiously awaiting Dad's return home. Mom is making him a special dinner, but I think he might be too excited to see me to eat!
