Times Flies
Has it been four months already? I can't believe it, seems like just yesterday that I was adjusting to life at CPMC and now here I am feeling very grown up. It has been a while since I've updated you on my stats, so here we go...
1. I now weigh 14 pounds and 14 ounces and I am 24 3/4 inches tall, which means I am growing steadily in the 75th percentile.
2. I am all over the place as far as clothing size, some things I wear are meant for a 9-month-old and other things are for a 3-month-old. I try not to get too caught up on what the tag says. I think as long as I exercise and eat well my weight will work itself out. It can be hard not to judge myself when I see these petite little girls in magazines with their perfect outfits and hair styles. I guess if I had all day long to focus on my appearance, I would look like that too, but come on, this is the real world.
3. Speaking of exercise, my mom and I have been enjoying working out together. Sometimes it is for a long walk and other times we do yoga and pilates. I love this time with her and she says it is way more fun to exercise with me and all alone.
4. When Dad and I spend time together we enjoy watching hockey, singing songs and laughing. No one can make me laugh like my Dad - he is so silly!
5. I am going through a tough patch right now regarding sleep. We went cold turkey and gave up the swaddle blanket. This has been a really hard adjustment for me and I am not falling asleep well or staying asleep. This has been hard on Mom and Dad too - sorry 'rents, it won't last forever!
6. I am accomplished at getting my hand in my mouth, sucking my thumb, holding my head up and getting objects that I am holding in my mouth.
7. I am practicing rolling over when I am on my belly, sitting up and working on those muscles that I will need for crawling.
8. I have inherited the gift of gab from my Mom's side of the family. I can talk to anyone and will often talk to myself. Dad says that I like to hear myself talk, just like Mom and Grandma. Mom hit him when he said that.
9. I am getting pumped for my first trip to the mid-west at the end of the month. I can't believe this, but there are even more people in my family (that means you Uncle Ben and Aunt Sara!) and friends to meet. Dad and Mom are so excited to see everyone and show me off.
10. I hear this Sunday is a special day- Mom's first Mother's Day. I can't wait to have a good excuse to give her extra cuddles!
