Daddy's Favorite Day

This past Sunday was a very special day. It was Father's Day, a first for me and my Dad. I planned out a day filled with things that I was sure he would love.

First we had brunch, Eggs in Sauce, Dad's absolute favorite. It was a special treat - I'm sorry, but I do not get up early enough to make sauce for breakfast everyday.

I gave Dad some cards and a special gift. The bag that contained the gift is a joke, kinda.

Then it was off to the Giants game at AT&T Park. This was another surprise for Dad and let me tell you, I nailed it. He kept saying all day that he was SO happy, SO relaxed and wouldn't want to do anything else. It was a beautiful day - blue skies and the perfect temperature. And the game was quick, so Mom was happy to!

When we got home we took a little stroll from our house down to the beach. I love this picture. I think you can just see how much he loves me.

Dad said that Father's Day was the happiest Sunday of his life. The best Saturday was his wedding day. The best Tuesday was the day I was born. But the best Sunday was this one. He liked it even better than Christmas and his birthday.

I planned it out pretty well I guess. I set the bar pretty high, but I am sure that he would have been just as happy to sit at home with me all day long.
