My First Swim Class

Yesterday Mom and Dad took me to my first swimming lesson. Dad came along to photograph the event. Here are some of my favorites.
Here I am with Mom sitting on the edge, getting ready to dive in.

We went with my friends Robbie and Knox (and their parents Pam and Fisher).

Here I am mono e mono with the instructor. He wants me to dive in, but I am not ready for that yet.
We learned songs and I even got to go under water!

Picking Out A Pumpkin

"I love this pumpkin. It is perfect!"

"Lucy, I think we should get this pumpkin. It is bigger, so of course it is better."

"If you keep this up, all we are taking home is this piece of hay."

"Too the moon, Alice...too the moon."

Maria, Maria

This weekend Uncle Bones and Zia Maria came for a visit. Zia Maria is somewhat new in our lives so this weekend was great - we really got to know her well and we love her. Maybe even more than Uncle Bones, especially since she is a REAL doctor.
On Friday we all went for a little bike ride. Maria loved the view, it was a beautiful day.
Even though the girls outnumbered the boys this weekend, there was still a lot of time spent in the man garage.Maria liked reading Italian books to me (don't tell Mom, but her accent is much better).
Halloween Party fun (insert inappropriate joke here)

The most fun part of the weekend was going to my first concert. We all went to the Bridge School Benefit Concert at the Mountain View Amphitheater. We saw Neil Young, Monsters of Folk, Gavin Rossdale, Adam Sandler and Sheryl Crow. This is a picture of me and Mom dancing to "Soak Up the Sun." Mom started to get cranky at 7pm so we left before No Doubt and Chris Martin, but we still had a great day!
Oh, Mark and Maria, can't you stay, just a little bit longer.....

Jet Setting

Last week we had another whirlwind trip to New York. Sorry for not posting sooner, my secretary is still recovering from jet-lag. I don't know why she finds it so hard to adjust, for me it is a piece of cake. It was a quick week. I didn't get to see all of my friends and family, but I tried to do my best without over doing things.

Here I am with Grandma at her office. I didn't know that Grandma's can have jobs, I thought they just visit with their grandbabies and knit. Things sure have changed since my last life....

After our visit we walked downtown to visit with my Godmother Carmelisa and Uncle Michele....
And my new friend Sienna!
Congrats - she is so cute! I love her!

Then we had a visit from Aunt Phyllis. Don't you like that we are color coordinated?
Uncle Matthew came for a visit with Aunt Karen. Is that a smile I see???

We also had a special visit from Aunt Carol. She was excited to meet me, I think I reminded her of Mom when she was little. She got really nostalgic for the 70's....

And then, as if the week wasn't fun enough, I got to spend the day at the Vitolo's. Mom and Dad went to a wedding and I got to spend time with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Anthony, Aunt Chris and Uncle Matt and my new friends Kayla, Ava and Anthony. Don't tell mom that Anthony and I were playing in the playpen together. I think he likes me...

With all the fun, I forgot to take a picture with Aunt Kathy and Aunt Chris! I had to dig into my archives to give them a proper shout out. Here I am with Aunt Kathy back in April.
And here is a picture of the bib that Aunt Chris made for me at Mom's shower before I was born. We will just say she is an influencer. But it is true, I do love Aunt Chris and Kathy too!

I'm A Maniac

I've been getting really jazzed for my trip to NY, but I am also a little stressed about my weight since I overheard Mom saying that image is a little more important there than it is here in Pacifica. So I decided to try to lose some of my baby weight by popping in a Jane Fonda video and doing some good old fashioned aerobics. There was also Flashdance marathon on cable this weekend.

Totally inspiring.

It's an Honor Just Being Nominated

Or at least that is what they say...I don't think it is true though, just lip service. Who wouldn't be disappointed if they were nominated for the "Healing Partner Employee Recognition Program" at the Cleveland Clinic and they didn't win?

See Uncle Bone was nominated (yes, a surprise to me and my Mom) for this prestigious award that honors those Docs with a good bedside manner (now you know why we are surprised). I guess there is Uncle Bone and Dr. Bone. Maybe one day I will get to meet Dr. Bone. The winner hasn't been revealed yet, so I am asking all of my readers to visualize (you know, The Secret, I saw it on Oprah) Dr. Bone winning the award and Dr. Bone getting engaged soon...Oops, did I just say that (I just really like Maria, I am just sayin')?

Well, Dr. Bone and Dr. Maria are coming for a visit in two weeks. We can't wait to celebrate and give Dr. Bone a big pat on the back for his award!

It's a Ruff Life

Yesterday we closed the deal on Penelope's adoption. Her new owner Aya (and Piper the dog, as seen in this picture) came by for a visit so we could transfer paperwork and say goodbye. Penny is a great dog, we just didn't get along to well.

Good thing baby trumps dog or I would have been looking for a new home!

Style Baby

Dad has been talking about a new career as a stylist.

I told him he should keep his day job.

PS - check out the socks! What-the-what!?!?

This Just In - A Post from Mom and Dad

New Developmental milestone reached today.
Lucy can move from laying down to a sitting position.
As you can see, this does not bode well for nap time.
Why nap when you can sit up and SCREAM?

Great.

Teachers Pet

Today was the first day of Sign Language Class.  I am already getting in good with the teacher. Pretty sure I will ace the class ;-)
