Dear Friends and Family on the Right Coast,

I am so sorry. I haven't done you justice. There is so much I want to say about our trip to the Tri-State Area and I haven't had a chance to sit down rehash it all. Please don't feel neglected. I promise it will be worth the wait.

In the meantime, swiss chard baby....

 

Do you guys know this hot mama? If you don't, you better get to know her because it is official, she is going to go from being "aunt" sara to Aunt Sara! Uncle Benny popped the questions last week and after careful consideration she said yes. I do believe I might have something to do with it - how could she say no to a lifetime of being Little Lucy's Aunt!


I hope they don't mind, but I did a little imagine morphing. Below is a preview of a potential future cousin. No, she is not pregnant, but should she become pregnant (after the wedding of course) this is what my little friend will look like.

But don't get too attached because this is what I am supposed to look like. Mailman anyone?

Chicago Re-Cap

So here I am in NYC and I realize that I didn't do my trip to Chicago / South Bend justice. See, it wasn't just for the wedding that we went to the good ol' mid-west, but to see my family too. Uncle Ben and Aunt Sara live in Chicago and Grandma Mimi got to come spend time with us. We did lots of great things while we visited, but I was only able to capture a few on camera. In addition to walking around the city and having lots of al fresco meals we went to the Lincoln Park Zoo, for me, the highlight of our time in the Windy City.

I'm in the mood for love....

I was just browsing through some pictures and I realized that I still haven't filled you all in on my very first wedding! My dad's friend got married in South Bend, Indiana last weekend. We got to hang in with Grandma Mimi, Uncle Ben and Aunt Sara in Chicago and then met up with Grandad in Indiana for the wedding. It was amazing - the wedding was at the Notre Dame Cathedral. So beautiful. Unfortunatrly the large ceilings made for a loud echo when I was whining so Mom and Grandad had to take me out of the church. Grandad walked me around the campus and Mom was sure I would take a nap. HA! I don't nap on special days.

I got lots of great ideas that I've added to my wedding scrapbook - I think I'll ask for antipasto tray at the beginning of the meal too - it was a nice touch!
